Your wedding day is one of the most important days of your life and certainly one of your most photographed days, therefore you want to be looking your absolute best. We have come up with 10 tips to help you have the most flawless appearance throughout your special day.

Hot Toddy

Ingredients: 50ml Whiskey 100ml hot water 10ml lemon juice 30ml clove-infused honey or regular honey

Method: Combine ingredients in a glass or mug and stir. Garnish with lemon and star anise.

Boozy Hot Chocolate

Ingredients: 50 ml cocoa flavoured tequila or Bailey’s liqueur 150ml hot chocolate

Method: Combine ingredients in a mug and stir. Garnish with whipped cream and marshmellows.

Room 666

Ingredients: 50ml Hennessy 30ml saffron syrup 20ml lemon juice 1 dash orange bitters

Method: Stir with ice in a mixing glass and strain into the glass of your choice. Garnish with rosemary sprig and orange twist.

Bad Santa

Ingredients: 2 bottles of fruit-forward red wine 1 bottle tawny port 250ml Grand Marnier or orange liqueur 500ml water 1 orange, peels and juice 1 lemon, peels only 6g green cardamom pods, crushed and opened 2g cloves 4g whole black peppercorns 4g fresh ginger, peeled and chopped 3 cinnamon sticks 2 pieces star anise 300g brown sugar

Method: 1. Crack the dried spices. Toast them in a large dry pot over medium heat until aromatic. 2. Add the water and bring to a boil. Once boiling, reduce the heat and add remaining ingredients. Allow to simmer for 15 minutes. 3. Turn off the heat. Once it is cool, strain the spices and bottle the mulled wine. 4. Reheat in a pot when ready to serve.

Cranberry Mint Punch

Ingredients: 3 cups fresh cranberries 1 cup of fresh mint leaves 250g sugar 1 orange, zest and juice 500ml vodka 500ml orange liqueur (such as Triple Sec or Cointreau) 500ml cranberry juice 1 bottle sparkling wine

Method: 1. Freeze the cranberries. 2. In a bowl, combine the mint, sugar and orange zest. Use the top of a spoon to muddle them all together. Pour the sugar mixture into a small saucepan and add the orange juice. Bring mixture to a simmer and stir until sugar is dissolved. Set aside to cool. 3. In a punch bowl, mix the vodka, orange liqueur and cranberry juice. Add the orange-mint syrup and stir to combine. 4. Just before serving, add the sparkling wine and frozen cranberries.

Spiked Cinnamon Lattes

Ingredients: 3 cups brewed espresso or strong coffee 4 cups milk ½ cup maple syrup 1 tablespoon vanilla extract 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon 200ml vanilla vodka 200ml Kahlua Whipped cream for garnish

Method: 1. In a large slow cooker or pot, mix together the espresso, milk, maple syrup, vanilla extract and cinnamon. 2. Set the cooker or stove on low and cook for 3 hours. Mix in the vanilla vodka and Kahlua. 3. To serve, ladle into mugs and garnish with whipped cream and cinnamon.

Mulled Cider

Ingredients: 4 cups apple cider 4 strips orange zest 2 strips lemon zest 2 cinnamon sticks 2 cloves 1 star anise 4 shots rum

Method: 1. In a large pot, bring the cider to a simmer. Add the orange and lemon zests, cinnamon sticks, cloves and star anise. Allow to simmer for 5 minutes. 2. Turn off the stove and allow to closed pot to steep for 15 minutes. Place a strainer over a bowl and pour cider through to remove zest and spices. Return the strained cider to the pot and bring back to a simmer. 3. Pour 1 shot of rum at the bottom of the mug and then top with a ladle of warm cider. Do the same with the remaining mugs. Mugs can be garnished with cinnamon sticks or star anise.
