Our Christmas Eve Dinner, Tuesday 24 December 2024, honours classic festive meals with the additional homestyle pleasure of being served from our Farm kitchen. Be welcomed with a refreshing Limoncello Spritz before indulging in a hearty traditional roast dinner of a Christmas spiced glazed gammon and roasted chicken with red wine jus.
Complement your meal spectacularly with traditional sides like roasted potatoes and seasonal vegetables or, as a respite from the warmer weather, the garden salad or cous cous, corn, heirloom tomato, and avocado salad. Finish your delightful meal with a seasonal pavlova and chocolate trifle, of which we encourage you to indulge in for only R550 per person.
For those who enjoy more of a Christmas Day Lunch, Wednesday 25 December 2024, celebration, feel free to join us for a summer Christmas time with a lovely picnic under the magnificent oak trees. We will provide you with a wine crate basket filled with delectable comestibles that serve two per R600 box.
Mix and match at your pleasure from the selection of shaved chicken, sliced roast beef served with piccalilli, and chicken liver pate served with cherry coulis, alongside two local cheeses, crackers, freshly baked bread and butter. The broccoli salad, fresh fruit, and basil, feta, and rosa tomato salad are sure to be refreshing precursors to our delightful date squares and Christmas shortbread. This way, you are able to enjoy the relaxed pleasures of a festive meal whilst lounging on our verdant lawns.
The celebrations never end with Christmas at Hawksmoor House, which is why we invite you to send-off 2024 in a perfectly South African fashion with our New Years Eve Braai, Tuesday 31 December 2024. Start off the night with a Berry Sangria before making your way through our selection of green salad, coleslaw, potato bake, and spinach, bacon, and crouton ranch salad. Feast on the assorted braai meat until you are ready for the sweet finish of peppermint crisp tart or ice cream with your choice of toppings before welcoming the New Year with a glass of the accoladed Hawksmoor MCC.
We complete the festivities with a New Years Day Brunch, Wednesday 1 January 2025, in the waking glory of an exciting 2025 ahead. Toast to the New Year with the wine of the season, our Hawksmoor MCC 2019, in a mimosa that pairs beautifully with our options of either a full English breakfast or the Special of the day, which is an iconic Corn Fritter stack of bacon, grilled cherry tomatoes, avocado, a herb salad with ranch dressing, and two corn fritters with an egg of your choice—if you desire.
The scrumptious bunch will be served from 9AM to 11AM to allow for you to luxuriate for the rest of your first day of the year.
