About Us

Hawksmoor House is the realised vision of four people:

Mark, a property investor and wine lover; Simon, an antiques dealer with an incredible interior design style and a talent for preparing and hosting lavish dinner parties; Jonathan, a wildlife and adventure enthusiast with a corporate background in strategy and finance; and Maike, a travel trends, marketing and networking professional. All of us share a passion for South Africa and a love of "the good things in life": understated luxury and tons of friends to enjoy it with.

When we created Hawksmoor House, we did not want yet another polished hotel but rather a country estate with a distinct home feel, where you can take your shoes off, let your hair down and unwind with a drink or two. It's a serene place to relax, take it slow and catch up on sleep. Have a swim, taste some wine, listen to jazz in front of the fireplace...
